Implemented to provide worst-case seven-day-old offsite backups, in case something really bad happens to the building.However, you should create a single-run event under the schedule for the Daily Backup script that starts early on the first night of the new Storage Set, as the first run takes a long time. Note: You should not have to edit the scheduled executions, as they should pickup automatically on the new Storage Set destination. Close the Daily Backup script window, and be sure to save the changes. Then hit the add button, and locate the set you just created, and add that one to be the sole destination. ![]() In the panel that pops up, click on Daily Backup n, then hit the remove button. Then, click on the "Destinations" tab (which should say "Daily Backup n," where n is one less that the set you just created. Go to Automate -> Scripts, and double click on the "Daily Backup" script. Also be sure to set a password on the index, to prevent casual use, and make sure the "Allow Hardware Data Compression" box is checked: Therein, select "Create New." Once a Daily Backup set fills three tapes, a new Storage Set will have to be created, and the Daily Backup script will have to be modified to talk to the new Storage Set.
